Madhavan Nair who is a retired school teacher from Sree Krishnapuram High School, Palakkad creates fascinating Elephants. For this he uses Cement, Steel, mosaic powder, Polish and acryilic paint.  He is residing in Mangalamkunnu village is also home to the Chettiar Brothers who own 14 elephants  a number of domestic Elephants.  Madhavan Nair used to make different types of art in paper pulp to beautify his home.  But he started to make an elephant according to his wife's desire.  After seeing the grace of the elephant in his house other orders came.  According to Madhavan Nair this is also a part of his elephant craze since from his childhood.
