Panachikkadu Saraswathi temple

The temple is situated in Panachikkadu, a village 4Kms from Chingavanam town and 11Km from Kottayam. The place is in between Kottayam and Changanacherry in MC road.

The temple is a main pilgrim centre during Navarathri days. The temple is considered as an auspicious place for 'Vidyarambham'. Chief diety is Mahavishnu. This is considered as a Saraswathi temple. Saraswathi idol is placed in an open place, a pond like structure covered by creepers. Water flow around the idol is a miracle of this temple. It will not dry up even in the peak summer season.  Ganapathi,  Shiva,  shastha and Yakshi are other dieties.

During Navarathri days there will be Music and dance festival at the temple auditorium where we can enjoy Music in a serene atmosphere. For Vidyarambham booking.

Navarathri means nine nights,  in these days we worship Durga in nine forms.  In Kerala it is mainly Saraswathi pooja,  the goddess of Knowledge.
