Nanu Ezhuthachan Sivashankaran(Kandampully Balanarayan)dead

The tallest elephant of Asia died at Mulanjoor near Pathirippalam.  The 55 old tusker after participating the Ayyappan vilakku festival tried to get into a truck. 

The elephant lost his balance and fell into the ground.  After hours he died in front of a crowd of elephant lovers.

Ayyappan vilakku

Its a ritual art form of Kerala.  Two dancers in the costume of Ayyappan and Vavar will sing the songs of Sri Ayyappa.  A miniature of temple will be created with tender coconut frond(kuruthola)and plantain leaf-stalks.  Its a ritual conducted to propitiate the great Sree Ayyappa during Vrischika month.
