Sreeraman an elephant owned by Kochin Devaswom Board catches media attraction through his tensed activities.  He went amok in Kundannoor in the last week and caused damages to some houses and one autorikshaw.   People from the premises of the Poornathrayeesha temple had complained that the mahouts are always torturing him. He had deep wounds in the hind legs and this was reported by the Mathrubhumi.  After seeing this news SPCA Secretary Mr. M R Sethumadhavan visited the elephant and conveyed the news to Forest Department and Animal Welfare Department.  The officers from the departments came and observed the situation and taken appropriate action against the mahouts.
